Leap Day!

Today is a special day - it's a LEAP DAY!

Every four years, in the month of February, there will be a 29th. And that, is today!

As embarrassing as it may be, I admit that I didn't even remember the date was today until Musheeroom told me. I know it's nothing special, but for some reason, I felt the hype.
┐(  ^ 3^)┌

So I was planning on maybe doing something as a sort of celebration for this rare date. But, thanks to this extreme migraine that struck me since school this morning, my head can barely think straight.

All I could do was a short piece of ...thing..? that might be considered as a doodle in the form of words. It's simple and I hope the content can be grasped without much thinking.

I imagine a guy being the male character, but it's up to you how you perceive it.

Anyways, my nausea's getting worse. I'll post a bit more on what's happening in a few days maybe... = =

I'm heading to bed. Oyasumi.

Leap Year.

Leap year one, leap year two,
Childhood years where I met you.

Leap year three, leap year four,
Braced myself to knock your door.

Leap year five, leap year six,
We were such a goofy mix.

Leap year seven, leap year eight,
Wedding day - but you were late.

Leap year nine, leap year ten,
Had two kids named Joe and Ben.

So many memories on this date,
Our lives tied with the string of fate.

Years I've been loyal and true,
Just to prove that I... love you.

Random post is random.

It pleases me that Musheeroom can do this:

 That is all. [end]

Such luck!

The iPad's fixed! Yay! (´∇ノ`*)ノ

Well, actually, it wasn't even broken in the first place - the charger was. So my mother bought an iPhone charger (since the iPad chargers were out of stock) and so our problem was fixed! It charges really slowly though...

With the iPad all charged up, the apps are all good to go. I was bored around noon and got to doodling on the SketchBookPro. I haven't been using it for some time, so it looks weird.

As you can see, there's a sort of chicken/bird peeking at the bottom of the right-hand side. He's the same little fella from here. Ahaha, I'm having too much fun drawing 'em. Also, yay for rosy cheeks! (o⌒.⌒o)

English is so Hard!

Today, there was an English oral test at my school. I've always hated oral tests - scratch that, I've always disliked speaking in English in front of people. My tongue only favours its native language. I have a stupid accent and sound like an idiot when speaking in English. Hell, I sound better when speaking German! ... even though I've never learnt it.

Verdammt! Ich habe sauerkraut in meine lederhosen!

Yeah, I said that without Google Translate! Booyah! That's what Hetalia fan products gives you - the power to talk weirdly in different languages.

I spoke of my first trip overseas, a.k.a the trip to Viet Nam. My friends were all:

Meanwhile, there I was at the front feeling like so:

Spoke in very broken English, my grammar was all over the place, my eyes were going out of focus. I didn't even tell my story properly either. When I compared to the rest of the class, their English was incredibly fluent and they delivered their message very clearly.

Arghh! I feel like dust now.

Hetalia makes it all better...

Today was a fairly bad day - not the worst, but not the best either.

During the Gamelan performance on Saturday, I received this really cute water bottle with a shape similar to that of a grenade. Very compact and sleek, an aesthetically pleasing thing indeed.

I brought the bottle to school today to show it to my buddies. Everything's all fine and dandy, until a classmate of mine grasp sight of the bottle. He was tossing it up in the air, but since he caught it every single time, I thought that it was fine. Honestly, I wanted to ask for it back, but I couldn't bring myself to spoil the guy's fun.

My intuition was right about asking for it back, and yet I did not listen. The bottle fell after a high throw, crashing onto the solid concrete and it burst.

Words could not describe how bad I felt - the disappointment was overwhelming. I wanted to slap the guy, kick him in the balls, slit his throat and feed him to the wolves. But of course, reason got up to me and I merely sat there, staring at the scene.

The guy looked at me, his eyes saying sorry, but he didn't. I looked at him with the pokerface of mine, unwilling to show that I was sad over just a bottle. I don't know why, but I stared him straight in the eyes and told him to drink it.

It kind of felt good as I watched him gulp mouthfuls of water as fast as he could. The sadist inside of me was enjoying herself at the fact that his high ego was scratched. For the first time ever, his air of confidence wasn't there.

After he finished drinking, he showed me the bottle with a curt smile. I flashed a dark smile of my own and told him coldly to throw the bottle away. And so he did.

When I got home, I introduced Musheeroom with Prussia. We watched an abundance of videos of him and at the time, I was no longer in the dumps.

During our club meet, Musheeroom and Fafrina didn't want to sing the song that we created with much effort. I wasn't going to be the only one singing, so I didn't say a word of opposition. The feeling of losing without even competing was soul-crushing.

The entire day didn't seem to matter anymore. Even the game of congkak with Musheeroom felt draggy.

At home that evening, I drowned myself in Hetalia - MEPs, AMVs, the lot.

Hetalia is to me what a teddy bear is to kids, what a meal is to the hungry, what the Sun is to the cold. It gives me strength, it draws a smile on me, it lifts my spirits and is what makes my life a lot better and fun.

Days of The Week - A poem (?)

Mondays are mundane,
So students go insane.

Tuesdays are fairly tedious,
Us kids learn 'bout the radius.

Wednesdays are woeful,
No sleep thus we look awful.

Thursdays are thriving,
The weekends are arriving.

Fridays are festive and free,
School ends, and we all smile with glee.

Saturdays are superb,
 Pesky homework, don't disturb

And Sundays are short,
As is the nose of Voldemort.

My olden RP-ing days.

I can not write Romance. At all.

You see, I was digging around my old folders today and found a folder from last year. It contained all of my RP-related things in it. Reading everything all over again, I want to slap myself in the face for how idiotic I was back then.

There were misspellings, grammatical errors, and redundant sentences. It was absolute agony reading my works from back then. =A=

If you want, I could post a sort of preview of what it was? Maybe..?

First Time :: Performing! (Gamelan)

Yesterday was the big day, and since I have spare time at the moment, why not post about it?

Whoops.

Well, it's a wonderful Sunday morning today - the temperature's mild and the house is quiet. I finally got the chance and slept in after a whole week of waking up early and not getting enough sleep. There was no rush today, and I was free to do whatever the hell I wanted. The family was out and I, for the first time ever this month, am finally alone and at peace.

That is, until I realized that I missed debate practice. Again.

Oh well.

Fandom Questions :: Hetalia

1. The first character I first fell in love with:

Weelll, actually, the first character I fell in love with was Germany even before watching Hetalia - but that was because of a quiz result I got by one of my favourite fanfiction writer, PerfectTempest . So, I don't think that counts. When I really did watch the series, the first person that officially appealed to me was Greece.   (´ω`♡%)

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:

Definitely Lichtenstein. When she first appeared, I though that the character wouldn't play a very big role in my heart. But as time passed by, she grew on me and now is probably my favourite girl character in the series alongside with Ukraine.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t:

Probably HRE. Why? Well, to be honest, I actually like him - he's cute and adorable, romantic and just pretty much a sweetheart. But people keep saying that the guy was Germany as a kid and I, being a great denier of the fact, found my liking for him dissipate. It's not that I hate him, I don't dislike him either - it's neutral.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates:

Is there really a character that people really hate in Hetalia? Really? I don't think so.
But Musheeroom flat out dislikes Austria. And Sweden. So, I'll go by that answer.
Austria and Sweden. Oh, Austria and Sweden... *dreamysigh*

5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer:

Romano. I usually love tsunderes - correction, I adore them. They are all so cute, in my opinion. Romano was the few people who charmed me with the "I hate you because I love you" romance theme.

However, recently, I've gotten tired of the tsundere streak since a lot of charas nowadays are following that trend. It gets cliche once you do it often. That's why my love for Romano had suddenly turned bleak. Don't worry, Romano is still one of my favourite tsunderes, though. And that will never change. :]

6. The character I would totally smooch:

Everyone. Every. Single. Male. Chara. EVERYONE. Yes. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

7. The character I’d want to be like:

Who, I wonder... maybe Hungary? She's strong and has a big heart. She's caring and loving of her friends but fairly cruel to her enemies. We have some similarities and also share the fangirling habits (lol). And one more reason is because she's the centre of two of the guys in Central Europe that I love dearly - Austria and Prussia.

How can I not want to be the girl between the two?

8. The character I’d slap:

Uh... no one..? But you won't accept that as an answer, would you now? ( = 3 =)
Let's see.. Norway..? Because of his cold emotionless eyes and confidently cool face, perhaps. That's the only reason. Faces like those just make my hand itch with the temptation to smack them where it matters. Though I'd probably feel really bad afterwards. Poor Norway...

9. A pairing that I love:

I adore the SwitzerlandXAustria pairing. Favourite shipping ever! Hate the fact that there are so little fanfic/arts concerning the two. They have a really cute past and it makes for such an awesome ship. (。-ω-。)

10. A pairing that I despise:

The GerIta pairing. Guys! Don't bash me! I just... can't accept it. Yeah, sometimes they're pretty cute and I sense that the pairing is canon, BUT! I see Italy and Germany as just close buddies, they care for each other, just not in the romantic way. I imagine Italy helping Germany getting the girl of his dreams, giving him tips and basically teaching his Italian charm to the stoic German. Italy like girls, even though he may act like... that.
And another thing... Ludwig is mine!

Fandom questions

So this person posted this, and I'm kinda interested to do it. Buttt, since I can't ask anyone, I'll just pick a random fandom I'm in and just do a different one each two weeks.

These are the questions:

1. The first character I first fell in love with
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer
6. The character I would totally smooch
7. The character I’d want to be like
8. The character I’d slap
9. A pairing that I love
10. A pairing that I despise

And of course, what other fandom would I chose first if not for Hetalia?
Oh come on, you know me. It's a given! (●´∀`●)

Amonderevex, where are you?!

Amonderevex is one of my most favoured youtuber there is. But I just found out today that she closed her account. Why?! (((( ;°Д°))))

She was the one who posted them videos of the Nico Nico singers on YouTube along with all the links and DLs. Her videos were all HD and tagged very accurately so that it would be easy to search for them later.

I don't understand why she would just go away like that. She did say that a person was bugging her with messages and that's why she made her page unvisible (?) but her videos were still watchable.

She was the best Nico Nico videos uploader on YouTube. It's so sad to have her disappear like this. I enjoyed the whole time I was subscribed to her as she provided me with access to wondrous videos. Each time a video was uploaded by her, I would be tickled pink with delight and glee.

Sometimes, her videos would lead me to discover new singers with amazing talent and an incredible voice. And other times, she would upload the videos from singers that I know and love dearly. If not for her, I wouldn't have been able to know whether or not my favourite singers had covered a new song.

I discovered KanzentaiCell and Tamu thanks to her - singers that I am such a huge fan of now. She made me like female singers such as Wotamin and Vip and 96Neko.

It's a sad day today as now us subscribers of Amonderevex will have lost a very much loved youtuber. I still have hopes in me that she will come back - even though the chances are least likely. Amonderevex, we'll miss you. 。゚(゚ノД`゚)゚。

More activities, more fun...?

Well, today in school, we learned nothing. Nada, hull, zero.

So, sometime after recess, I met two of my classmates who were in the Gamelan-playing squad(?). They're playing for the school's award ceremony but... the problem is, several students are going to receive the awards, so they were short on players. I volunteered to be a substitute, but I'm only playing until the guys receive their awards and come back.

I also joined the editing team for the school's year book. He (classmate) said they needed a fast-typer... guess who's gonna be the typer?  *nudge nudge*

All those years of typing, finally put to good use! Wahaha!

Today's koko was really fun. Yeah, we had to train in the middle of the Sun, but sometimes it was windy so it was alright - at least the light rain during the first hour cooled our area a bit.

We had to do some pumping and jumping jacks (the 1-2-1, 1-2-2, 1-2-3, 1-2-4..etc.. kind which means that one is equal to three jumps. I can not pump. At all. I have never been able to and probably never will. = =

I won the BOTOL game! WHAHAHAHA!

First I won with my group, then with the finals of the other groups. I feel so proud *cries*

There's also the school's counseling prefect thing that I'm not sure what to call. It's a good way for me to earn marks for my koko, but I'm not sure if I could take up the responsibility. I mean, if I can't do it right, I might as well not do it at all. I wanted to give being a librarian another shot, but Fafrina-chan's really against it - for some reason. WHY?! T^T

It's not that I really wanted to be one, just that the way you make it seem like it would be the end of the world as we know it if I joined so I'm curious. And the sadist inside of me just wants to try and apply for the librarian thing just to go against you.

Forgive me, I'm a bad person... = =;

I grant you permission to smack me in the face if I go beyond the limits of your tolerance.
m( _  _ )m

And with all that's going around me - exams, oral test on Friday and still no topic, homework that is still uncompleted, a bedroom the condition of a natural disaster - I still haven't finished my debate homework. FRUK!

-END-

Botol Game - what it is:

An easy game that can be played by anyone, anywhere. Unless you're deaf or mute ><.

It's basically counting until you meet any number that contains or is a multiple of the designated number you choose.

Usually we use the number 7 to play, but you could try others. Like the other day, we tried a whole lot of numbers.. some were hard and some were just plain out silly because of the overly-predictable pattern.

So, you play by first making a circle, sit or stand, it's up to you. The first player starts with the number one. Then continue with the second player who says 2.

Then 3, 4, 5, 6, BOTOL, 8,9,10, 11, 12, 13, BOTOL, 15, 16, BOTOL, 18, 19, 20, BOTOL.

You see? You need to say botol at the numbers that contain 7 or are multiples of 7.

Anyone who hesitates, takes too long to answer, says the wrong number, forgot to say BOTOL loses and is eliminated. Then we restart counting back to number 1.

Easy, no?

Another Malaysian Culture Post!

Alright! This post is about Gamelan and the little knowledge I posses about it.

I don't remember where it originated, even though Loo-sensei's already taught us about this is music class. But what I do know, is that it's traditional and really fun to play.

My favourite instrument to play is the kenong. One reason is because we only need to hit it on once per beat as opposed to the bonang that needs to be hit twice, one on each row. And another thing is because it suits my body - my long arms are perfect for hitting the notes far apart from each other. Just need to work on my speed and accuracy. >_>

Kenong!

Watashi no Ai!

So since a mass of people out there are all mushing up to their lovers just because it's a Tuesday that is on the 14th in the month of February today. Whoop-de-doo for them. I, personally, think it's ridiculous in certain aspects. One very clear one is that they only choose to introduce or to show their love to their loved ones on a specific date instead of every day. What's the point of that?! =_=

Ehem, moving on...

While you're all snuggling up with your mate, I'm here, with all my lovelies. Behold, all of the guys from Hetalia that I find myself swooning over. Watashi no ai~!

(P.S, I purposely used broken Japanese for effect...)

Sleep in peace, little miss.

Well, it's a fine evening today and I'm all cool and comfy in Fafrina-chan's well-airconditioned room. My fingertips are frozen, but other than that, everything seems A-OK.

I'm almost done with the power point project - just a little stumped on ideas. Reckon it's a good time to check Google, but at the moment, I just couldn't care less.

A short-sleeved shirt in a room of this temperature is not the ideal, at all. = A =

Sleeping - Fafrina's favourite past time second to reading and alongside with singing. She's a very heavy sleeper and it takes more than a few name calls and nudges with my frozen hand to wake her. But I'll leave her be, she was pretty active today at school - laughing and talking - so I guess she must've been knackered.

Back to work for me now. Tata?

-end

At Fafrina's.

Yeap, I'm at her house once again! Awesome keyboard, we meet again! (Keyboard: =_=)

Just a small post as record. I'm going back at about 6 after we finish our power point project.
At the moment, I'm waiting for my turn to shower. It's cool, I like waiting because of the air conditioning.

BTW, since for some people today's a day for love, I'll post something special. Not that I celebrate the event or whatever. Just.. oh, just wait and see! = 3 =

So....bye!

So busy...

Aargh! Times are though, like seriously!

I can't do anything much these days, and I MEAN IT. Why? Well, for starters, I just joined the English Debate Association in my school which means about two meetings per week. Plus that with my koko and music classes.

I still haven't found my English oral test topic and the debate homework on China and all that has to do with him is still yet to be done. Then there's all the posts that I'm putting on hiatus because of the exams that are coming up this March.

Can you believe our exam is on a Saturday? The 3rd of March. I mean.... that's so cool!
I've never attended an exam on a Saturday before... = 3 =

Anyways, FYI, yesterday and the day before was Spain and Japan's birthdays. I drew a picture of them both but I've still yet to transfer them so that I could post. So in the mean time, these pictures would suffice... ^^

Anyways, gotta go. I'm hungry and dinner is served.

Music classes?

Today's filled with fun(?) facts about me and my school life. So in this post, I'll be telling you about our music classes.

Now, our year has about 8 classes in total. 2 of them learn music while the others learn art. We didn't really get to choose, but if we wanted to we could change courses - but it's too late now since it's been two years since our class was assigned to learn music.

The music classes in our year is class S and class A. Class S is the highest class available for the music and economics students. I've been in this class for 3 years straight now.

Music classes have 5 periods. Two periods are in the standard school times while the other three are during the afternoon (morning if you're in the afternoon session). The A class this year attends the 3 periods on Tuesdays while my class attends them on Thursdays.

The classes start around 1.45(?)pm which means that we have to stay-back in school and have our lunch there before attending the classes.

All in all, I'd have to say that music classes aren't so bad. We get to stay in an air-conditioned room - as opposed to the standard classrooms with fans - and it's really comfortable. Us music students also get to chill after each lessons and hear the talented persons play instrument.

Yeah sure, not all of us are talented, but I'll bet you that music's a lot better of a subject to learn in my school than art is. = 3 =

[End]

What is koko?

Well, for some people outside of Malaysia, this word is probably alien to them. So allow me to shed some light on this.

Koko is short for ko-kurikulum which is basically the Malay ver. of the English co-curriculum. It's supposed to be a full phrase - aktiviti ko-kurikulum or in English, co-curriculum activities. But as you know, people just love to abbreviate words. So, koko is born!

My school has koko every Mondays and Wednesdays. On Mondays, we have club activities and sports and on Wednesdays we have uniform activities.

I joined the SPBT club - a club in charge of the text books. As for sports, I play indoor games - particularly congkak which is a favourite traditional Malay game. I'm also a fire cadet, by the way.

Since our school session's in the morning, the koko starts at 2.00pm.

Koko's really important because it helps us get into a university. I'm hoping to collect as much koko attendances and marks since I was pretty much slaking the whole time these past two years. Ahahaha... = =;

[End...]

Congkak?

Ahaha, I'm just advertising my nation to other foreign countries today. But I guess it's fine. I mean, a little bit of a culture spree won't do no harm. If anyone's interesting in coming here to Malaysia, I'll be your guide. (=w=)b

Anyways!

Congkak is a traditional Malay game which involves the congkak - hence the name - and marbles. I heard somewhere that the game is also called mancala, but whatever. This is about the Malaysian culture, so I'll stick with congkak.  ( ̄ー ̄ )ノ

Usually the game is played by girls, but guys can try it too.

The congkak generally has 7 holes - well, 8 if you count the big hole which is your goal - per side, however there are also congkak with 5 or 9 holes per side.  Your goal is on your left-hand side and the side most closest to you is yours. Each hole in the generic congkak needs 7 marbles in it.

The aim of the game is basically to have as many marbles as you can. The game most relies on your luck and mathematical skills - but mostly luck. = 3 =

The game starts with both sides playing simultaneously. But if one person's turn is ended - because they landed in an empty hole - then the other playing who's still going on shall continue playing. When that person's turn ends, the other starts their turn. And then it's just taking turns from then onwards.

How do you move? Well, you take the marbles in any of the holes on your side of the board. Then you start filling in the holes on marble each in a clockwise motion, avoiding the opponent's goal and "rumah terbakar".

When a round is finished and in the 7 holes, no more marbles are left, you continue the game by filling in your side of the board with the marbles from your goal. If you don't have enough marbles to complete a total of 7, the marbles go back into your goal and you leave the holes empty. This is called "rumah terbakar". If your opponent puts a marble into the hole that has been burnt (bakar), the marble goes to you. It's vice versa if you do it.

Honestly, the game never ends - well it could, but you'd have to wait for someone to get ALL of the marbles which I'm not sure is even remotely possible. = =;

But still, this was one of my favourite games since childhood. I could never stop playing it - usually my opponents are the ones who leave. So far, no one's beaten me in this game since I was 13 or maybe younger. Let me boast a bit, this is probably the only thing I'm good at. ><

Moving on, if you ever want to challenge me to a congkak duel, I'll be happy to accept. Let me just see you try beating the champion. Yeah, right...

Busy, busy, busy.

Out of all these years, I think this year is one of the most - if not the most - busiest years I've ever gone through. Never imagined Form 3 to be this overwhelming.

I joined the debate club and the recycling comity, I'm trying to write a story for a competition, there's the English oral test coming up, exams are also coming up(-ish), I haven't finished my wood project, my room is a mess, there are no clean clothes because the washing machine broke down.

And there's so many posts that I'm working on. @A@
    Please wait patiently for me to sort out things before I can post regularly. Oh, I wish time would pause for a few days. = =;
