Today's Gerorin's birthday~! Found out from one of the comments on one of the YouTube videos I was watching. I was out of idea about what to do for his birthday post, but then I caught a stroke of inspiration.
In this post, I will tell you about how Gero and my love for him. Enjoy!
Once upon a time, long, long ago (around June of last year), I was randomly clicking on videos after videos on YouTube. It was a lazy day and I spent my time browsing the site leisurely.
Originally, I was watching a Vocaloid video, but a few clicks led me to something that had an interesting thumbnail.
The tittle written atop of the video was,【NeruxGero】Magnet (Eng. Sub)
I clicked and waited for it to load.
The comments were all saying loads of things about the video - something about a test tube? I wondered what in the world was the video really about. It occurred to me that the people in the video were probably covering Magnet - a song by the Vocaloids.
I didn't know what to expect when I clicked the play button.
The video above is the one with the subs. I watched the one without the subs before I searched for the subbed ones, so I had no idea of what the hell they were saying.
But what I did know was that they were HILARIOUS. I was laughing my guts out even though I had no clue of what was going on. When I watched the translated ones, I was laughing even harder - especially because I thought that the sexy opening words at the beginning of their song-singing were actually sexy words instead of the random and ridiculous things that they really were.
The guy in green struck me and my attention the first time I saw him. At first I didn't know which was which, but as it turns out, the voice that I found that grasped my interest was also his. And so, I turned into a complete fangirl of his

I found out later that his name was Gero - sometimes referred to Gerorin.
Ever since that video, whenever I logged onto YouTube, 'Gero Nico Nico' were the keywords I typed into the search bar. Thanks to Gero, I started exploring the world of uttatemitas (sp?).
These two videos were those that enforced my love for Gero even more. I giggled and laughed whenever JK was mentioned between him and his megane partner.
After watching his Just Be Friends cover - with Neru-tan and without - I realized that the strong, fiery passion of his did not only apply to his powerful singing (and screaming), but also to capture the emotions that some fail when singing. He was also capable of seriously sing.

With other songs that he covered, such as One Love - which is a collab with ASK - and Scissorhands, Iroha no Uta (which was taken of from YouTube *cries*), PTA, Shota Shota Night Fever, From Y to Y, Rinne - both alone, the collab with Glutamine. Oh, and the collab with Kogeinu and Yamai too! - Two Breaths, Love is War, Rainbow Girl, I didn't know how I could possibly love him more than I already do.

I really thought that my love for him had reached its max.
Turns out I was wrong.
He surprised me with covering PON PON PON - a song that around that time was my favourite thanks to KanzentaiCell.
I remember exactly what happened when I found out. It was near 6.30PM and I was just chilling downstairs with the iPad. I looked at my subscriptions and AmonDerevex had posted a video with the pink picture of PON PON PON on it. I didn't realize it was Gero until I actually read the tittle as the song was beginning to play.
No words can entirely capture how my adoration of Gero had rocket-boosted up to a level no one had ever reached. I fangirl-ed thoroughly that day, complete with squeals and jumping and dancing around to the new song my love had just covered.
He continued to please me even more one day when I got news that he made a Matryoshka cover with the help of a band. The best thing was that at around that time too, Matryoshka was my favourite song (for some reason).
So, in this birthday post that is dedicated to Gero, I, as a loving fan, would like to wish a wonderful birthday. May this year bring him more success in his singing career! :3
